Many wise men, spiritual gurus, philosophers have said that we create our own destiny and we are powerful beings who can manifest what we desire. If this is true, then why are there so many human beings not able to achieve what they desire. I have been on this journey of discovering how much truth is there in the statement, “that we are the creators of our own reality”. The truth is that we are not creating what we consciously want but we are creating what we hold in our unconscious mind without even being aware of it.

“Until you make the Unconscious Conscious, IT will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

                                                            -Carl Jung

The unconscious mind has no logic or reasoning; it just recreates from whatever data it has. It just keeps replaying old programs which are familiar. The unconscious mind only has one job and that is to keep you in alignment with your inner programs. It uses resources like fear and limiting beliefs to stop you from changing your inner programs. For example, if it beliefs speaking on stage as an emotional threat, it will do everything to stop you from giving that speech, even to the extent of creating a panic attack. To understand this better let’s go back to the day you were born.

You were born into this beautiful world. Where you were born, the culture you were born into, the parents you have, your siblings, caregivers, relatives, teachers, friends, society, environment etc. is going to start programming you unconsciously, from the day you were born. Your upbringing in childhood is setting the stage for the future you. You do not actually live your life the way you want, you live your life based on the programming (perceptions and meaning given to events) that you acquired from the world around you. Even when you become an adult, this same programming will be creating your life unconsciously. You will be automatically reacting to events based on what you hold within your mind, without you even being consciously aware of it. Look around you, you will find many helpless, hopeless people who are unconsciously “slaves” to their unconscious programming and the best part is that they are not even aware of this. They blame themselves or they blame the people, economy, situation etc. but very few will look within and ask one simple question “How did I create this”? People are afraid to look within themselves and take responsibility for their own reactions. Then it will no longer be “they did this to me” but it will become “I have been doing this to myself”. Ironically, this is truly empowering. If they have been doing this to themselves “though unconsciously”, they now have the power to consciously change and do what is necessary. They can “be awakened” to the cause of their emotional suffering and therefore change the unconscious patterns they hold within their minds. There is an immediate shift from “victim” mode to “empowered” mode. The ironic truth is that, the programming they unconsciously carry within their minds is not even theirs. They have been emotionally conditioned with beliefs passed down from their parents, who got conditioned by the beliefs of their parents. So, the beliefs that we hold as “true”, in our minds, actually can go back few hundred years ago, which now no longer work in this day and age. The irony of life is that we continuously go on upgrading everything outside of us, but our minds are still running our lives from the very “ancient” belief structure which we inherit as unconscious “inheritance”.

We not only inherit our looks from our parents but we also inherit their “passed down” beliefs, value systems, their reactions to the world around them, their reactions to our behavior, how they deal with their problems and everything else we see, hear, taste, smell, touch and feel. The unconscious is a huge data recording machine. From the day we are born it starts recording everything and these are stored as patterns/programs deep within our unconscious minds, from which we then start to create our inner reality. Our inner reality is created from this unconscious database of beliefs, perceptions, and learned reaction patterns. This inner reality is then projected out and our outer reality is just a reflection of our inner reality.

So, the next question to ask is how to change something which is unconscious but very much in conscious control of our daily lives.

Hypnosis is a great motivational tool, that brings changes inside you, by introducing new healthy resources to replace outdated, old limiting ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. The changes are real and feel real inside you. This is true inner transformation. The Unconscious mind updates old programs with the new resources and now starts to create a better you, living a healthier, happier, peaceful and a more abundant life. Hypnosis is a process and as you start cleaning up the old recorded data in the unconscious mind, you change, your life changes and your perception of people around you change. Hypnosis is not magic, but the results are truly magical.

Hypnosis is a wonderful, simple, easy to use, healing modality. I hope more and more people will start using this magical inner transformative modality and free themselves from the “prison” of the unconscious programs and finally get to see how beautiful and worthy they are.
