As parents, we want the best for our children. But are we giving our children the best when we unconsciously impose our beliefs, habits, values, and expectations on them?
Our personal beliefs (mostly carried forward from our own parents), are unconsciously downloaded upon their innocent minds from the time they are born. Children mirror what we say, what we do and how we as adults, experience and perceive life. A terrified “ignorant” mother unconsciously teaches terror to her children, an angry “ignorant” father teaches anger to his children. Innocently, children absorb our terrors, anger, lack mentality, fears, and habits. These then become imprints on their innocent minds, and they will grow up replaying these similar patterns of behaviours, unconsciously, as adults.
Let us pause and do a reality check!! Did our personal beliefs, values, and expectations, serve us in achieving inner peace within ourselves, having the resilience to move forward through challenges, achieving loving and fulfilling relationships with our loved ones and making a career out of doing something we love?
If our own personal beliefs did not serve us in living a fulfilled life, why would we want the innocent minds to see their world and live their life through our limiting fear-based beliefs?
Understanding how early childhood experiences create core beliefs within the innocent minds of the children is crucial for every parent. Whether they create an inner world of “I am okay” or an inner world of “I am not okay, there is something wrong with me”, is all dependent upon what information the child receives from the family it grows up in. If we want our children to grow up having a healthy sense of self-esteem and self-resilience, we need to look at what information we are putting into the minds of the little children.
Now, there is an opportunity to change all that. The time is right now, to give our precious children and those innocent minds a healthy “blueprint’ for an amazing life. It all begins with building a healthy belief structure within their minds, and it all starts right now. If we want our children to have a better future, and a healthier life, it all begins with a healthy “blueprint” within their minds.
