Frequently Asked Questions About Hypnosis

When one thinks of hypnosis, what comes to mind is “mind control” and being under the “spell” of the hypnotist. This false concept of hypnosis only prevents us from using a powerful motivational tool to bring about the changes we desire.

I hope the hypnosis FAQ will clear many of the common fears and misconceptions of hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind; people are often surprised that they hear every word and could get up and walk out of the room at any moment. Unless you enter a deeper state, you may not seem any different, just very relaxed.
Most people are surprised at just how relaxing it is.

Hypnosis is safe and a great motivational tool for change and transformation.

It is a natural state of mind we go into many times during the day. When we are in a daydream, watching a movie or get so engrossed in doing something that we lose perception of time, we are in a state of natural hypnosis.

Hypnosis can help you change habits, behaviours and old thinking patterns which no longer serve you for your highest good. Hypnosis transforms old fears (which used to stop you in the past) into inner peace, calm and clarity. Old fears which stopped you from taking action in the past, are now no longer a resistance. Once the old fears are removed, you move forward towards your goals, from a place of inner peace, empowerment, and clarity.

Without resistance, both the conscious mind and the subconscious mind now work together moving you forward towards your goals.

You will not reveal any secrets under hypnosis. All your secrets are safe with you. Under hypnosis you will not reveal anything you do not want to reveal as you are aware of what is happening during the hypnosis session.

In the first session, the hypnotist will take a case history of the issue you want to work on. She will explain how the mind works and how hypnosis helps to motivate the subconscious mind. She will answer any questions you have on hypnosis. As you follow her simple instructions, you will be guided into a wonderful state of hypnosis where you feel very relaxed, calm, and peaceful.

In subsequent sessions, she will work on releasing old fears, changing limiting beliefs and releasing old patterns of thinking and feeling which no longer serve you. You will always come out of the hypnosis session feeling good, relaxed, and empowered!!
